I can't believe I haven't posted a link to this website yet: OMGKitty. I've known about it for awhile but I'm just now posting about it.
This is Katamari.

Katamari is cute. Katamari is mind-blowingly cute.
Seriously. I...I think this level of cuteness could be dangerous. I would exercise extreme caution in viewing these photographs. I believe there is a real danger of your brain imploding because of the sheer, unadulterated "kawaiiness" shown. Yes, Scottish Folds are extraordinarily cute by nature, but this is quite possibly the most adorable Fold ever.
I think Katamari could establish world peace. Anytime a world leader feels like starting a war, they should be shown OMGKitty. If they still feel like starting a war, they should be tied down and forced to view the complete archives.
Take in the huge eyes. Notice the tufts of fur jutting out from her folded widdle ears. God help you if you stumble across one of those shots with her exposing her flufftastic white belly. I nearly had an aneurysm when I got to her kitten photos.
Did I mention Katamari was cute? Very, very cute.

*My humblest apologies to OMGkitty for direct-linking the image shown, but whenever I tried to upload it myself, I received an error message as if the image were digitally watermarked, and I felt photographic demonstration of Katamari's extraordinary cuteness was in order to justify my explanation of her adorability. Please contact me if you would like the image removed: eyesthecolorofrain [at] sbcglobal.net.
I told you I would let you know when the duckling/gosling video was posted to my YouTube channel, and here it is:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaxBi2WLoqE
It isn't in HD, unfortunately, because I haven't gotten software yet to edit my raw AVCHDs from my new Handycam. YouTube supports HD uploads *elbows Facebook in the ribs - "Give you any ideas?"* so I upload any HD videos that are fine as is, but when I went to Bedford Boys Ranch and recorded the duckies and goosies, I did so with several different takes and rather than have people have to watch multiple videos to see what should be one big video, I converted them to WMVs and used Windows Movie Maker to string them together.
Warning: This video contains the raunchiness that is...a pigeon vagina. I kid you not. Look for it. Two pigeons tried to make my innocent video of a pleasant day at the park into a birdy pr0n0 by starting to get busy in front of my camera.
I had an unconventional Memorial Day, but a busy one. And fun, some of the time...
Anyway, we had a little trouble finding the grave, so Laura called her mom to ask where it was.
"It's the one with the flag on it."

Um, it's Memorial Day. So that doesn't narrow it down much.
But Laura-Rose's mom did give us directions from Laura's grandparents' graves (which had distinct pink flowers on them and thus, the graves were easy to find) and we eventually found Laura's uncle's grave.
It was a beautiful day, and so after the visit to the cemetery, we went to Bedford Boys Ranch for awhile and chillaxed in the pavilion.
A mother duck led her babies around nearby. I lurve leetle bebeh duckies and so had to get some video and photos of them. I haven't gotten my videos uploaded to YouTube yet, but you'll be one of the first to know when I do.
Now, I see ducklings quite a bit, but on Memorial Day, I got to see something I usually don't - juvenile Canada geese. They weren't little newblings like the baby ducks, but they were the equivalent of teenage Canadas.
They were so fuzzeh and kewt. I wanted to schnorgle them but I know that Canada geese (like all geese and swans) look beautiful but are, in reality, man-eating bite machines. OK, so they aren't man-eaters, but a parent goose will suck your brain out through your navel as soon as look at you if it thinks you're getting too close to its young.
Well, anyway, I got some great photos and videos. The folks at the next picnic table in the pavilion were having a cookout. They had a really cute little girl, about 2 years old, that kept saying hi to me and Laura-Rose, and when I say that she was cute, you know that it's a valid statement as I'm not one of those people that thinks every kid is cute. She kept pulling her clothes off, though, and her mom would always come up to her and say, "You don't show your business, mama! Don't be showing your business."
The folks having the cookout were listening to rap music and a song came on that threw out a few F-bombs and Laura, who is not a fan of rap, started freaking out and wanted to leave, so we called Naseem to see if she wanted to meet us at Chili's for a drink and lunch. I had a Blue Something-Or-Other margarita. It was good, not the best I've ever had, but good. It was certainly the prettiest margarita I've ever had.
Then we went for sno-cones at Bedford Snoball. Naseem and Laura-Rose had never been there before and so I had to take them there. Growing up, it was the place to get snocones. Every Bedford kid south of 121 knew it was good and it was within a safe walking distance in a residential area, so parents felt OK with us walking or biking over there.
Sure enough, the line was long and filled with teenagers and the occasional dad or mom bringing their kids there after a dip in the pool. I got a wild cherry snocone and Laura-Rose and Naseem both chose wedding cake flavor.
It felt like summer.
Partial desaturation FTW! I plan on adding this shot to my Zazzle shop.
So then the three of us tried to think of what to do next. We toyed with the idea of going to downtown Fort Worth and hanging out at Barnes and Noble or something, but I had no change left for the parking meter and they either had none or weren't willing to part with it.
So we chose the slightly less exciting location of the Hurst Barnes and Noble by Northeast Mall. We hung out there for a short while - I reading "Top 10 Lists for 2009" and occasionally sharing a factoid with them (did you know that of the 10 most obese countries of the world, the USA isn't even on the list? Did you know that China has the most athiests in the world?) and Naseem reading celebrity news and Laura-Rose reading up on fashion.
Then Naseem had made plans with another friend of hers and Betty was texting Laura, wanting to get together with us and talk. So I took Naseem back to her car and went to pick up Betty because she had no gas. (Guess she hadn't eaten any Taco Bell lately - *boom-tish* *groan*)
We went to Wendy's and hung out and Justin joined us later. We then went to Luna's house and picked her up and hung out with her for awhile, we had some stuff to talk about. That was the not-so-fun portion of the day, there's just been some drama going on lately and that night was when we sorted it all out between us. It's all good now, though, so I'll just leave it at that.
Busy day.
This is my newest avatar on Second Life. I'm so cute that I want to pick myself up and squeeze myself until only hoarse little mews come out.
For those interested, I purchased my avatar for L$1100 from Zooby's. (I can provide a landmark if you ask.) I rarely pay for stuff on Second Life, so you know that I really wanted this avatar.
Since my avatar is a black cat, I wonder if I should add a tag to myself that says something about Basement Cat...?
I love this latest teh kewtness frum Cute Overload:

I've decided that every time I post an awesome website, I'm going to
post it as a feature called "The Internet Can Stop Now," indicating
that the Internet has supposedly been perfected by the addition of this
site...
Well, oh.my.Gawsh, there is a blog devoted to kitteh bellehz.
http://www.kittybellys.com
And yes, that is how the URL is spelled. (Not with the correct plural spelling of "belly.")
I am a huge fan of kitty bellies. If I could do so without getting my face ripped off, I would dive face-first into the fluffy heaven of every kitty belly I see. Which, by the way, this site provides a tutorial for those of you not acquainted with the sport of kitty belly-diving. You see, there are few things so delightful as spotting a fluffy cat with their belly exposed and proceeding to bury one's face in the furry goodness.
Every picture, however, is part glee and part torment, as I wish to schnorgle every kitteh I see on the website. It's essentially kitteh belleh lurver pr0n.
Which countries have you visited? Which countries are on your list to visit?
Besides the good ol' US, I've only been to Cozumel, Mexico. Bluest waters I've ever seen, they looked like Windex.
I want to see the whole world, but in particular I would really like to see Australia. I'd also like to see Japan because of their whole cute culture. I want to see France and Italy and Britain and Ireland and Scotland and the Galapagos Islands in Ecuador, and I also wouldn't mind visiting some meerkats in the Kalahari, but that's pretty far into the desert. :-)
